The Story of Lystivka UK

In Britain, cards are part of everyday life. They are there for birthdays and Christmas, to say thank you, congratulations, get well soon, thinking of you — and sometimes simply to let someone know they matter.

When we came to the UK from Ukraine, we fell in love with this tradition. Cards felt like such a thoughtful and very British way of showing kindness.

But when we wanted to send cards ourselves, we struggled to find something that felt personal to us — something that could carry the warmth of Ukrainian culture while still respecting the beautiful British tradition of card giving.

We wanted to say thank you in the language of the people who welcomed us, without losing the language of our own hearts.

And that is how Lystivka UK was born.

Lystivka means “postcard” or “greeting card” in Ukrainian. Our designs bring together Ukrainian colours, flowers, folk motifs and traditions with messages created for the moments people celebrate and share here in Britain.

They are little pieces of Ukraine, made to travel from one person to another.
